How to check if your phone supports eSIM?
A. eSIM SUPPORT
1. Check using code #06#
This method applies to both iOS and Android:
-
Open the Phone app and dial *#06# .
-
If you see this line appear Your device supports eSIM (Embedded Identity Document) .
-
If the EID is not visible, the device may not support eSIM or may be network locked.
2. Check in device settings.
For iOS (iPhone):
Go to Settings > Mobile
-
If you see the option " Add eSIM " or " Add mobile plan " or " Activate eSIM " , then your device supports eSIM.

- If you see the option " Add eSIM " or " Add mobile plan ," then your device supports eSIM.
B. UNLOCKED OR UNLOCKED PHONES
A network-locked phone ( or carrier -locked phone ) is a type of phone that can only be used with a specific network provider and cannot use SIM cards or eSIMs from other carriers.
This happens when users purchase phones under contract with a carrier , meaning the device is bound to work only with that carrier's SIM/eSIM for a specific period of time.
Even if your phone supports eSIM , you still can't use an eSIM from a different carrier if your device is network-locked.
You can check if your phone is locked as follows:
For iOS (iPhone):
Go to Settings > General > About :
-
Check the " Network Lock " section : If it displays " Unlimited SIMs " , the device is not network locked.
For Android:
Go to Settings > Connections > SIM Management :
-
Check the " Select mobile network " and " Automatically select network" options . If multiple carriers appear, your device is not network locked.
