A. eSIM SUPPORT

1. Check with code #06#

This method applies to both iOS and Android:

  • Open the Phone app and dial *#06#.

  • If the EID (Embedded Identity Document) line appears, your device supports eSIM.

  • If EID does not appear, the device may not support eSIM or may be network-locked.

2. Check device settings

For iOS (iPhone):

Go to Settings > Cellular

  • If you see the option "Add eSIM" or "Add Cellular Plan" or “Activate eSIM,” then the device supports eSIM.

For Android:

Go to Settings > Connections > SIM Manager:

  • If you see the option "Add eSIM" or "Add Cellular Plan," then the device supports eSIM.

B. UNLOCKED OR JAILBROKEN PHONES

A network-locked phone (also known as a carrier-locked phone) is a type of phone that can only be used with a specific carrier and cannot use SIMs/eSIMs from other carriers.

This occurs when users purchase a phone with a carrier contract, meaning the device is bound to work only with that carrier's SIM/eSIM for a certain period.

Even if the phone supports eSIM, you still cannot use an eSIM from another carrier if the device is network-locked.

You can check if your phone is locked as follows:

For iOS (iPhone):

Go to Settings > General > About:

  • Check the “Carrier Lock section: If it displays "No SIM restrictions", the device is unlocked.

For Android:

Go to Settings > Connections > SIM Manager:

  • Check the “Mobile network selection and “Automatically select network options. If multiple carriers appear, your device is unlocked.
