How to set up eSIM on Android

Step 1: Check your device & Get your eSIM QR code

First, make sure your Android device supports eSIM and is running a compatible operating system version. After completing your order, you will receive an eSIM QR code from Aviro via email .

Step 2: Open eSIM settings & Scan the QR code

• Open Settings > Connections (Connections) > SIM Card Manager

• Choose Add eSIM or Add mobile plan

• Select Use QR code

• Follow the on-screen confirmation steps.

Note: You can also choose to manually enter the code and copy the code from the email if you cannot scan the QR code with your camera. Alternatively, you can upload a screenshot of the QR code from your photo gallery.

Step 3: Name your eSIM (optional)

After installation, you can name the eSIM, such as “Aviro eSIM” or “Travel,” to easily distinguish it from other eSIMs already installed in your device.

Step 4: Turn on roaming upon arrival.

When you arrive in a country where you need to use your eSIM, go to Settings > Connection/ Mobile network , select the eSIM you just installed, and turn on Data Roaming.

Note:

• Do not enable data roaming before arriving in the country where you want to use your eSIM; premature activation may result in wasted usage time.

• The validity period of the eSIM will be calculated from the moment you install the eSIM into your device.

• Each eSIM can only be installed once and cannot be restored if you delete it.

• The feature to upload photos from the gallery is only available on Samsung Galaxy S20 and later models, and some other newer Android phones.

• The interface and the names of the steps may vary between phone manufacturers and Android versions.
