Step 1: Check your device & Receive the eSIM QR code
To use an eSIM, you need to ensure your iPhone supports eSIM and is running a compatible iOS version. After completing your order, you will receive the eSIM installation QR code via email.
You can check if your phone supports eSIM right here.
Step 2: Scan the QR code
-
Open Settings > Select Cellular data or Mobile Data
-
Select Add eSIM
-
Use the camera to scan the My SIM eSIM QR code
-
Follow the on-screen confirmation steps
Note: If you cannot scan the QR, you can select Enter Details Manually and copy the code provided via email. Alternatively, you can also choose to Upload photo of the QR code you screenshotted from your photo library.
Step 3: Name the eSIM (optional)
You can name the eSIM "eSIM My SIM" or "Travel" for easier management.
Step 4: Turn on Data Roaming upon arrival
When you arrive in the country where you need to use it, go to:
1. Settings > Cellular > Mobile Data > select the newly installed eSIM
2. Settings > Cellular > The newly installed SIM, select “Turn On This Line” and turn on “Data Roaming” to start using the network.
Note:
-
Do not enable data roaming before arriving in the country where you want to use the eSIM, to avoid premature activation and loss of usage time.
-
The validity period of the eSIM will be calculated from the moment you install the eSIM on your device.
-
The eSIM can only be installed once; please do not delete the eSIM unless you have finished using it.
-
The QR code image upload feature is only available for iOS 17 and above.
